Which of Jesus' ideas should we take literally and which shouldn't we? Who decides this?

Well.. I dontthink its too hard to understand.. afterall, the verse I just gave (prior message) showed clearly that what Jesus said, was literal!....

How did his remaining disciples decide when and when not to take Jesus seriously?

As with the verses we are dealing with, I dont think they had any problem figuring it out.. as I said in my previous message, they figured it out, eventually..... The same would apply to you too, I believe.. Jesus said: I AM the BREAD of life.... That is what He meant by eating his body.. How do we know that for sure? Because, the verse says so - clearly...
