When a person says, "ask anything in my name, and I will do it," what does he mean? Presumably, Jesus means that if you ask for anything, he will do it.

Jesus said in John 16:26 -- "In that day you will ask in my name. I am NOT saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God."

Well well. By his own words, Jesus is NOT an intercessor. He won't put in a good word on your behalf. Well then, why ask for anything in Jesus' name? Why not ask your God directly?

"...Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him..." I eat Jesus' flesh and drink his blood - he's in me. Stands to reason that Jesus would have to eat my flesh and drink my blood for me to be in him. Right? This whole cannibalism thing is SO strange.
