I found dog excrement on my front step this morning.

I could have wasted time by examining it and the process that brought it there (that is, did it come from my dog or my next door neighbor's dog, did the animal eat any corn yesterday, etc) but instead I just scooped it up and threw it away.

If I did not have a shovel nearby and my wife came running out to give me my lunch because I had forgotten to take it, I would say "Look out! Don't step in the sh*t!".

That is all that is necessary here.
