It's difficult to discuss a subject without putting it is its context.

There has to be a word for that.

But, how can we approach the Bible as the Revealed Word of God without putting that definition in the context of how it got to be seen as such. When and why did its defenders start calling it that?

In other words, what are the issues involved?
