I am strikingly handsome.

Women have lost their senses over me after just having seen me once or twice.

Does that help?

The truth be known, I'm 5'7", slightly over weight, have a full head of hair furning white and wear a beard turning white trimmed to about 3/8 of an inch. I'm not ugly. I'm a mixture of Bavarian, German, Welsh, and some other stuff thrown in for good measure.

In response to Like The Dag posted by pink101:

I think I actually implied that those Christians who post here were sanctimonious and I had Brother Jones in mind particularly. I'm sorry; but, I see him as bigoted hypocrit.

I think what Brian is trying to point out is that just laying down the charge doesn't seem to be helping anyone. Imagine if you could somehow make an effective enough case that several Christians came after me with the same amount of heat that you bring. Then things might change in my behavior. We do need to remember who we are and who we represent. It isn't every man for himself. Or lady. We both think each other idiots for holding on to a religious position that makes no sense to the other. But the bottom line is that we both care enough for some odd reason that we drag our hand up to the computer and take a pretty good beating for having made some incredibly bad posts that we never or rarely seem to ever find a woman doing the same behavior. So we can at least agree that hateful, mean-spririted posts are in your background and mine. Let's work together on it and make some improvements around the place.

i am just an oldtimer in the Lord.

The only thing I was interested in was giving you a picture of the persona I see in the participant here who calls himself, Brother Jones.
.
It's what I see--like it or not. You can deny it and all your friends and relatives can do so as well. But, it is what I see.
.
If you want to tell me who it is that you see in me, that's okay with me. Otherwise, I might get the big head about myself with all this praise and glory I get from all the others.

I look exactly like Tom Cruise. When crossing the road, he looks to the left, then right etc. I look exactly like that. Try it at home. We look like other people! ABC

Trouble is, I probably have a difference in depth perception than others here. This means I see things closer than others believe they are. So, maybe we don't all SEE the same with some more opsoclonic than others.

That's not scary. No southern accent? Parlez-vous Francais? Coz that's also nice on one's ears.

But Pink above likening himself to the dag is starting to sound scary. ABC

And you know, I'm reminded that Brian allows non-Protestantism within his chambers as a favour coz suite101 have lost the plot to some extent. So, he can't be all that bad either. He's only the moderator here. A lifetime ago, I recalled feeling like I had several straws stuck in my head with all these people sucking facts out with no reciprocity. I close my eyes to imagine Brian looking just like that...with a tad more patience than I happy

I agree. As discussions sometimes heat to flash point, I think about that, and wonder when his patience will run out and he'll start pressing the delete/edit buttons. Or maybe management will insist on it. I hope it doesn't come to that.

» redback - treading water awhile

In response to Point of View and the Internet posted by Migisi:

M & S was NOT my main area here. My memory banks don't go beyond Zanzi and Boanerges being the prime mover moderators here with a couple of moderators who "visited". But the constant IMO is a friction between the process and the program. This is a Mind & Soul community incorporating Christianity but not a Christian one per se. The non-Christian moderators have deserted...even an arguably intemperate Christian one has handed in his badge. happy

Pink raises the spectre of a rut in another topic. And there are many dots to connect to take that to its logical conclusion/s. When both extremes of (Christian?) belief are being contradicted here, where does one really want to go from that? Or where, realistically does one expect a working, professional Protestant to take us?

I don't always agree with what Brian states but I'll defend to your death, his right to state it. Of course, I'm joking a tad. But my death has far less value. happy
