And the words in Mark say "them that believe": Them that believe can pass the drano challenge... This is not true now and it was not not true then.

I can't recall any written accounts in the NT when any believer took the Drano challenge and proved that claim, can you?

There's a 13th century Catholic legend that Roman Emperor Dometian tried to kill the Apostle John with poisoned wine. But after John blessed the wine, the poison rose up and out of the chalice in the shape of a serpent. John drank the wine and survived. Oh, he was also tossed into a cauldron of boiling oil too, and stepped out unscathed. Cool magic, ay?
