I'm preparing an article on this subject. I think it's an important one, and I'm working on it. Give me a day or two, please. In the meantime, I'll say this...

If someone steps forward and says that he or she speaks directly for God, there ARE some tests we can put to that person to establish credibility.

Same applies for ancient, sacred documents.

I don't expect nor do I necessarily even desire for sincere skeptics to just jettison their brains and embrace divine inspiration of the Bible simply because the Bible says it's inspired. It IS reasonable for the skeptic to ask for some validation of that claim.
