» Feature Writer Brian Tubbs - The Misunderstanding Continues

Once again, I do not believe - nor did I say - that the Bible's claim of divine inspiration settles the matter. And I'm not muddying the waters.

There are steps a person must take in arguing for the divine inspiration of the Bible - logical steps. Establishing that the Bible makes the claim of divine inspiration for itself is the FIRST step. It simply establishes that it's a claim - and that the claim is part of Christian doctrine. Nothing more.

That's all I'm saying. YOU all are over-stating my point and building up a strawman caricature to bash away at. IF that makes you happy, go ahead - but know that you're attacking an argument I'm NOT making.

-Brian

p.s. PaperTurtle, I understand that other religious scriptures make similar claims. My argument simply puts the Bible in the same category of the others - religions that have scriptures which claim divine inspiration. From there, the analysis should continue to see which religions can make that claim with the most plausibility and credibility.
