In response to Nazis? posted by pink101:

I'm aware of the history, Phil. I know that the work camps were used to supply the German war effort. Hence, my point about how they were exploitative.

What I find irrational and offensive is your implication that, because the Germans threw up that slogan "Work Makes You Free" over the concentration camps - they therefore become representative of the philosophy that those who don't work shouldn't eat.

The Nazis were forcing the Jews to work for the German war effort. They were NOT forcing the Jews to work for their own livelihood.

The philosophy - "Them that don't work, don't eat" - speaks of people being required to contribute to their own health, safety, and welfare. That is NOT a Nazi concept, Phil. It's a sound one.

Please don't shove the Nazi thing at me again.
