you have taken some real low-blow shots at me.

Ahh, you're just too sensitive. Better grow thicker skin, Bri. Heh heh. If you think anybody here has fired low shots at you... you should've been around back in the old Forum days. Talk about testing one's mettle!

.
Today--June 6, 1968--reminds us that we are in the iron grip of the most powerful political dynasty America has ever known.
.
Don't kid yourself on this one.
.
A dynasty is a sequence of powerful leaders in the same family.
.
G H W Bush = Fool me once.
G W BUsh = Fool me twice
Jeb Bush = Fool me three times?
.
So, who will they put in place to represent their interests? Hillary?

Any accomplished liar will do. Their political party affiliation doesn't matter.

Actually, when you look at the crop of current Republican presidential contenders, Jeb Bush WOULD be the best person for the 2008 GOP presidential nomination IF....

His last name were different.

You seem so unconcerned with the idea of dynasty.

Doesn't it bother you in the least that a dynasty is in control of our national destiny?
.
Here's a pertinent question. What is the role of dynasty in American government?

I'm not impressed by the Republican candidate line up either.
.
IF....His last name were different.
.
And his first name wasn't 'Jeb'.
.
I agree, Bri. He'd surely win - cuz he definitely knows how to manipulate elections. In 1998, during his first term as governor, the state changed their constitution making their secretary of state (who oversees elections) an appointed position rather than an elected one (effective 2003). And who appoints the secretary? Why, the governor. That gave Jebby a huge role in the 2004 election.
.
And another issue -- could Protestant America tolerate another (gasp) CATHOLIC president?

» pink101 - Rights of Empire

In response to Jeb Bush posted by BrianTubbs:
.
"...Jeb Bush WOULD be the best person for the 2008 GOP presidential nomination..."
.
We've come through a period in American History in which Civil Rights were at risk in competition with States Rights.
.
The Bush Dynasty has been busy working on behalf of Corporate Rights which only can come at the expense of Civil Rights.
.
We see the Rights of Empire being moved into the forefront of our country's foreign policy. It is obvious once a study is begun of the history of Inalienable Rights movement in the U.S.A. I think few people are able to give a straightforward explanation of how Inalienable Rights come into being.
.
If we are unable to explain the conditions under which human beings to experience Inalienable Rights, how can we know when we are in jeopardy of losing them? How can we compare them to State, Corporate, or Empire Rights?
.
Who can explain the conditions under which their Inalienable Rights exist?
.

Reporter Arrested on Orders of Giuliani Press Secretary
(watch video)
http://infowars.com/articles/ps/giuliani...
"According to Rudkowski, Lepacek was scared because he had been told he may be transferred to a secret detention facility because state police were also considering charges of espionage against him-- due to a webcam Lepacek was using to broadcast live at the event. State police considered it to be a hidden camera, which led to discussion of "espionage."

Yep... thanks to the Bush's Patriot Act, anyone can be arrested and imprisoned for anything, including asking the 'wrong' questions. What Constitution? What Bill of Rights?
.
I sure hope Lepacek sues the police department for false arrest and imprisonment. He's got a good case, IMO.
