In response to Excellent Question posted by Brother_Jones:I think you have your work cut out for you.
True story: This morning (Monday) a total stranger come up to me in the coffee shop...about my age. He said he thought my best book was 'The Old Man & The Sea'. He had me confused with Ernest Hemingway, he later admitted.

His comments reminded me I needed to trim my beard which I must admit does looks like EH's. My appearance here also seems to add some confusion as I don't think I should join any club that'd accept me as a member. ![]()
Brother-jones: re you understanding my posts:

The makings of a great start to the day. In the 70's, after I got my college degree and started preaching, I wanted to be a philosopher/prophet, maybe with my own followers of a sort peculiar to my denomination. I might have prefered about seventy five followers. But I was such a skinny kid and I looked barely past my teenage years. I was drawn to the life of ideas and sitting and pronouncing poetry. lol. I wonder if I have changed. I see in Paul another type of man who would spend very little time chasing through the house looking for mirrors of himself. Can you imagine stopping him on one of his walks and inquiring in this manner? "Excuse me, Paul, I have some curiousity about this fellow Jesus that is rattling around in my head, because I hope someday to be a coffee shop owner/guru and see if I can be a philosopher poet who can gain some sort of following. Can you give me some help on that, Paul?" ABC.

Ernest Hemingway!!! Ahha.. A true Kansas City native indeed!!!
I actually named my band after a refernce from Ernest Hemingway... "Dear Paco"
Search Dear Paco and you'll most likely find me, but if you add Ernest Hemingway you'll find the story.

A teeny, tiny drop of love trumps every inch of the LORD GOD's heaven and hell.
I'd rather be a lover in hell than a hater in heaven. How about you?

I'm not exactly sure that I can agree with your thought here, Oliver. You are sorta using banner talk and pithy statements. Go ahead and give some idea of what love you are talking about without getting into the Bible or the Jesus Story. I'm really struggling to figure out if you have anything worthy to say. Help me out. Give some sort of example from your own belief system as to what love means to you.

Exactly... what's love to you???
Does love quietly stand by while someone walks down a dangerous road?
Isn't love a warning sign in a sense? Like, don't go to hell, there's no 'love' there. =)

Ernie's birthday's on 21 July, mine 27th, so we're both Leos. More contrasts than comparisons methinks. Not to mention he's a Yankee. ![]()
"Dear Paco is one of the hottest up and coming Christian bands on the music scene...." Watched a video at your website but my PC aint so good even tho' it's an alleged XP Media Centre version.
