Sure, I get that Here's the problem though
Come with me on a trip... Come on everyone get on the freakin BUS... this bus will take us to the land of UZ!?!?! It's exciting...
So we arrive in the land of UZ and we are overwhelmed by the cultural differences...
So we take a tour...
We feel like something in this land is wrong...
buildings are leaning and nothing seems to function quite right...
We go by the local school to see how there education system works, maybe to find answers to our questions...
We enter the classroom...
We open the book on the table...
An early education book, for young kids...
It's a math book...
Our eyes are immediately drawn to some BIG bold text on page one...
It reads:
2+2=5...
We are blown away...
"Do these people actually believe that?" we ask ourselves...
"Surely not!" I ponder...
We proceed to talk with the teacher...
the principal...
the board of education in the land of UZ...
and to no avail, they stand firm... We try and explain all day that 2+2 doe NOT =5... it DOES =4
They reject our claim and go on their way...
But we leave in hopelessness and can't help but wonder that this is the basis for how they live their lives everyday...
It is fundamental...
"Let them be."...
OK... I'm back now... See the world view of UZ is that the 2+2=5 and they seem to be satisfied with that, whatever... You tried and that's ok.
The only thing is that until they come to the realization that 2+2 does indeed equal 4 they will never know the stability of a building that is not leaning.
