Well...
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me

Amongst others but this is a good ideology of how Jesus becomes apart of who we are so that THROUGH Jesus we can come back into union with God.

Right.

Have you given much thought as to what it means to sup with someone?

My only real point was to draw attention yesterday to the idea that certain liberals no longer view heaven as an opportunity to worship Jesus Christ. They no longer believe or teach that having a personal relationship with Christ is valuable here or there. So maybe I've clarified for you. I hope so.
.
First off, using the word, certain, to define liberals indicates specific people. Who do you have in mind?
.
And, how does heaven, in your mind, become an opportunity to worship Jesus Christ, as you imply, in the here and now?
.
And, these "certain" liberals of whom you speak, when did they stop viewing heaven as such an opportunity?
.
The posts you make, like this one of yours, are loaded with all sorts of implications and it is difficult to understand just exactly what it is you mean to imply. I see Brian has picked up on it and has offered that you are talking about the Social Gosple so highly respected by Harry Emerson Fosdick.

» Migisi - Blood sacrifice

In response to Brian's Screed posted by Twice__Pardoned:
.
Again a human blood sacrifice was not demanded (with the exception of Isaac which was test and never finalized)
.
Judges 11:29 - "Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah. He crossed Gilead and Manasseh, passed through Mizpah of Gilead, and from there he advanced against the Ammonites. 30 And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD : "If you give the Ammonites into my hands, 31 whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the LORD's, and I will SACRIFICE it as a BURNT OFFERING." 34 When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of tambourines! She was an only child. Except for her he had neither son nor daughter. 35 When he saw her, he tore his clothes and cried, "Oh! My daughter! You have made me miserable and wretched, because I have made a vow to the LORD that I cannot break." ...39 After the two months, she returned to her father and HE DID TO HER AS HE HAD VOWED. And she was a virgin."
.
And the LORD ~let~ him do it.
.
1 Kings 13:1 - "By the word [command] of the LORD a man of God came from Judah to Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make an offering. 2 He cried out against the altar by the word [command] of the LORD : "O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says: 'A son named Josiah will be born to the house of David. On you he will SACRIFICE the priests of the high places who now make offerings here, and HUMAN BONES WILL BE BURNED ON YOU.' "
.
2 Kings 23:20 - "He [Josiah] executed the priests of the pagan shrines on their own altars, and he BURNED human bones on the altars to desecrate them. Josiah also exterminated the mediums and psychics, the household gods, and every other kind of idol worship, both in Jerusalem and throughout the land of Judah. He did this in obedience to all the laws written in the scroll that Hilkiah the priest had found in the LORD's Temple." (NLT)
.
Ezekiel 21:33 NAB - "I will pour out my indignation upon you, breathing my fiery wrath upon you, I will hand you over to ravaging men, artisans of destruction. You shall be FUEL FOR THE FIRE, your blood shall flow throughout the land. You shall not be remembered, for I, the LORD, have spoken."
.
Deuteronomy 13:13 NLT - "Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and BURN IT. Put the entire town to the TORCH AS A BURNT OFFERING to the LORD your God."

I hereby declare you redeemed from the most evil charachter ever: The Hebrew God.
