- Really?
The number one top role model for all citizens in the United States proclaims violence as the righteously legitimate way of settling political disputes in the world.
First, I question the statement that the President of the United States is the "number one top role model for all citizens in the United States." (It's obvious that's who you are referring to). Second, I am unaware of Mr. Bush saying that violence should be used to settle "political disputes" in the world.
Setting aside Iraq, were we just "settling a political dispute" when we attacked and helped overthrow the Taliban in Afghanistan after 9/11/01? Was it just a "political dispute" that the Taliban were sheltering and aiding Al Qaeda, a known terrorist group that is directly responsible for taking the lives of thousands of American citizens - not just the Trade Towers, but the Embassy bombings in Africa, the USS Cole, and so on? And even if you disagree with our policy in Iraq (and I know you do), I would hardly characterize the disagreement between Iraq's Saddam Hussein regime and the United States as merely a "political dispute."
Is it possible - remotely possible - that you and others can witness a tragedy without blaming it somehow on George W. Bush???
