I thought it was only a commercial symbol and a chocolate sales one at that. Your Eater (sic) Bunny seems spot on. Down here, it's been on sale from around Xmas time and is now 50% off. Probably also in your part of the world which is perfect one day, scary the next.

Hee hee. Good one, Pink. Sweet Jesus.

To me, all this protesting is 'much ado about nothing'.

I don't know what everyone's problems with the chocolate Jesus was about. It was just an image of what some people think Jesus looks like, and when you think about it, it's pretty much a chocolate idol.

You're right, Kim. Doesn't much matter if that idol is made of gold, porcelain, wood, marble, or chocolate, does it.

» pink101 - Early Easter
Here are a couple of things you might be interested in!
.
Based on the above, Easter can actually only be one (1) day earlier -
March 22, but that is pretty rare.
.
This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of
our lives!
.
And only the most elderly of our population (95 years old or above!)
have ever seen it this early.
.
None of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier!
.
Here are the facts:
.
The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year
2228 - 220 years from this year!!
.
The last time it was this early was 1913 so, if you're 95 or older,
you are the only ones that were around for that!.
.
The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year
2285 - 277 years from this year.
.
The last time it was on March 22 was 1818.
.
So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this
year!
.
------------------------------------------------------------
I received the above information in an email. I don't know if it is accurate or not.
.
And, yesterday is kind of rare as February 29th only appears on our calendar once every four years.

Talk about resurrections... this thread's nearly a year old. Hee hee.
.
I've got the grandkids' candy baskets dusted off and ready to fill. Not that baskets of candy at Gramma's is anything new, mind you. Their favorite Easter candy... those pink and yellow marshmellow Peeps. Just the thought of 'em makes my teeth ache.
