They are both series that you have to start at the beginning and watch them through in order to really appreciate them.

That's the problem I have with 'series'. I can't commit to soap operas and 'to be continued' shows. My older kids are hooked on the Sopranos. When they get together, they talk about the characters like they were our relatives. Now THAT would be scary.

My faves - Programs on the History Channel, Modern Marvels, CSI NY, Criminal Minds, Raines (the new crime show starring Jeff Goldbloom), Cold Cases.

I don't go to the cinema at all. I wait until the movie's out on DVD and then rent it. Nowadays, new movies come out before they're finished being shown in theaters.

Well, I like going to the movies, though it is expensive. I like being the BIG screen - the bigger the better. The surround sound stereo effect. And of course movie theater POPCORN! Can't go to a movie without the popcorn. That would be a travesty.

TV shows: The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Conan O'Brian, Jay Leno, Whose Line is it Anyway, Little Britain, Blackadder, Futurama, John Safran Vs God, Lost, Invader ZIM, Spongebob Monty Python.

Movies: The Lord of the Rings, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Star Wars, Xmen, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, Kill Bill, Monty Python movies.

I love The History Channel, and will watch pretty much ANYTHING (time-permitting of course) that comes on that channel.

Aside from that, I enjoy....

JAG (though it's been discontinued - it's still recent)

» Brother_Jones - My TV habits.

My favorites are The View, MTV, Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth, and I watch a lot of ice skating. And of course American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. I used to watch baseball all the time but now I watch these other programs between shopping for shoes and shopping for accessory jewelry.
