Just to loosen things up a bit, what are your favorite TV programs and movies?

I've recently gotten hooked on "24" and "Battlestar Galactica." They are both series that you have to start at the beginning and watch them through in order to really appreciate them. So, that's what I started to do.

I don't watch a lot of TV--and I only have VERY basic cable, so my choices are pretty limited. I like science fiction, and shows having to do with forensic science (CSI, Forensic Dectives). I watch House sometimes. I mostly watch CBC (Canadian) and Public Television--Nova, American Experience.

For movies, I'm not very trendy. I haven't been to a theater in more than three years. The last movie I rented was Frieda. What catches my attention is either a good story, or I like the actors. My son and I have a tradition of celebrating holidays with junk food and really cheesy horror/sci-fi movies.
