ProtestantismThe Idea of Evil
» pink101 - Reclaim America for "Christ" In response to Reclaim America for "Christ" posted by BrianTubbs:. I guess I'm going to let Brother Jones continue his claim that my responses to his request are merely me ranting and railing. (Did he mean, ranting and raving?) Other than that, Brother Jones, read the first few pages of the Manifesto and you will have your answer--loud and clear. . Brian writes, "If you are defining "theocracy" as Christians engaged in the political process to the extent that they wish to elect professing Christians to office and have policies consistent with biblical teachings or evangelical teachings or whatever adjective you want to use.....well...then, my response is...isn't that democracy?" . I'm not sure I follow your points here. Are you saying that we live in a democracy in which the majority is able to enact any laws they wish to see on the books? If that's your question, the answer is that we don't live in such a democracy and not by the stretch of any imagination and you know it. . So, NO! and ABSOLUTELY NOT! No majority has the right to impose its views on the populace by right of its majority status. But, if some majority were to get its sweetheart judges on the Supreme Court, they might be able to over ride the U.S. Constitution with their legal shennanigans and force America into a place where we could give up our democracy. There are those who would welcome such an eventuality. . . -- posted by pink101
