The example of the root and branches was most enlightening to me - that we [branches] are made of the same stuff as the root [Creator], and anything that is not of the same stuff will be harmful and intolerable to us.

The concepts presented on why accepting charity is uncomfortable for us, but giving is delightful - a fascinating sensible explanation, IMO.

And this from the article: It turns out that the purpose of the whole creation is that the lowly creatures will be able, through observing Torah and mitzvot, to rise ever upward, until they reach adhesion with their Creator...

...He has prepared for us the toil and the trouble of Torah and mitzvot, to produce our exaltedness by ourselves, because then the delight and pleasure that comes to us from Him, meaning everything that is included in the adhesion with Him, would all be our own possessions that have come to us through our own efforts. Then we would feel ourselves as the owners, without which there cannot be a sensation of wholeness.

Did Jesus teach Kaballah? I can't say, since I really don't know the whole of Kaballah teachings to compare them with what Jesus taught.
