It would seem like a picture or story would be the best way to define evil. You gotta kinda feel it or touch it to believe in it. I guess that is why a severe beating from a father or mother provides such a vivid memory of the poison. The origin of evil would seem to start smaller though like in Eden where we think that just a little deception and slight disobedience never really hurt anybody all that much.

Evil must be something that grows from a seed? An unkind word can be at the root of evil?
Can we see the pointed spikes even in the seed?
Evil exists not to be polite and formless, but to be specific and edgy. Ask this generation about the rape of the Earth and the nontolerance of those who mock marriage...and that is crucial evil. It is what is being written on the lintels of the door post of American homes and discussed at length so that a thousand new charities are born to raise money for the salvation of our tainted soil and the freedom to fornicate at will. The sweet doctrines of the Church are rough and graceless if we discover one day that our dear Mothers were devil worshiping whores who lied.

I think he is refering to the churches of the past and the Roman Catholic Church in particular. I could be wrong; but, I am sure that "devil worshiping whore" is code for the Catholic Church in some circles.
How could I be referring to RC Church?
I haven't had any personal experience with that church. I was simply making a general oberservation about churches, with the idea that many folks discover that their upbringing was anything but Christian in nature. And that is why I think many reject Christ.

I'm unsure if you are speaking of Christians here at this site or your usual straw men.

I haven't seen anyone recently who has tried to engage you with a 'hell and brimstone gospel.' It seems like most of the Christians here have focused on the practical aspects of Jesus' teachings which lead to a better love life, imo.
I've been exposed to almost every brand of Christianity.
I think you would agree that many are experts on various forms of Christianity but they haven't come to know Christ personally or as their Savior.
