I don't think it works in any way!!!
I assume any participant can begin any discussion using whatever article or post he likes. It is then up to Brian as Feature Writer to moderate it.
With the articles, the Feature writers answer to the section editors. The Contributing Writers answer to the Associate Editor over the whole site. This is why posts by CWs are being deleted.
The idea is that articles anywhere on Mind and Soul be:
reasoned, philosophical, interpretations of the history of these religions
with no evangelical pitch at all.
Thats the way the site is run so I am going to toe the line.
