I knew God, and had a relationship with God, before I "officially" became a Christian by joining the Methodist church at the age of 17 (1962). I don't remember a time when God was *not* a part of my life.
.
In grade school I began reading the Bible. I read about other religions. I read about people like Albert Schweitzer and Gandhi.
.
I became a serious student of the Bible in 1970--and still continued to study other religions (Native American, Australian Aboriginal, Buddhism, Taoism, and the mystics of Judaism and Catholicism).
.
I haven't stopped studying or being actively involved. I don't intend to, ever. I was a "liberal" as a child, and still am, and always will be.
.
peace and love,
