Wow... that's takes a good amount of willpower to stay away from those ingredients.

I am not so inclined to ban them from my house but for example I likie to bake breads with my wife that are made with whole grains and turbinado sugar. My wife also comes up with some fairly ingenius recipes using whole grains in place of flour constantly. I love it personally.

Vegetarian though.?.?.? Interesting... what do you mean when you say that you feel better?

I don't eat alot of beef or pork meaning I don't go buy it but I'll eat it. I eat plenty of fish and some chicken.

Just a minute.
.
Reread your own post.
.
You don't know about the Triangle Shirt Factory:
.
You write, "I am not socialist and don't ever want to be. " Okay, that's fine. By the way, what is a socialist? According to the rest of the paragraph in which you make that statement, it appears you think a socialist government regulates everything and you say that it is the citizens who should regulate the government. Do you understand what you are saying? According to your statement, if the people want universal health care, then they can regulate the government to make sure it is provided. That's a socialist concept, Stephen.
.
You make a statement that claims a good question is, "why do we allow the government and big business to control us?
.
Okay, do you know the answer? It's easy and it's simple. Our government is for sale to the highest bidders. Capitalism is buying our government piece by piece. Have you heard that the government guaranteed Loan business is being purchased by private capital? Have you heard about lobby groups? Have you heard that the military is being replace by professional mercenaries? Do you know how much money is being funneled into the hands of private military groups in Iraq--groups like Blackwater? Have you heard that the government wants to privatize Social Security? Have you heard that the government has created a insurance program that insures profits to prescription drug providers? Have you heard that the government has enacted economic colonization by way of its so-called Free Trade agreements? Do you understand that products you purchase are produced by slave labor in order to undercut American workers?
.
For starters, how does that grab you?
.

more energy, no disgestive problems, I sleep better, I have less back pain, my concentration level is better

In spite of all I've been through in the past few years, since becoming a vegetarian I have not experienced depression--something that used to occur in fairly regular cycles.

I haven't had a cold/flu in three years.

I'm free of arthritis, my heart health is excellent, my bone density is also excellent. Same with my blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

peace and love,
Paper Turtle

Well those are some potent statements you're making... I can stand behind what you're saying.

As to whether I know why 'we' allow business and government to control us, my answer is: Because we consume what they offer. If "I" create my own way of living then I don't need them, that's the way I'd choose to live if I was able to work out of the system built.

Well that is excellent news! I only wish more people thought this way about there health. Too many of the cynical thinkers write off health as 'you gotta die somehow' but I would much rather have a healthy eventful life up to the moent of my death where bad health can paralyze the flow of life. So I am happy to hear you speaking of these things.

Do you eat no meats?

I tried vegetarian once and it caused me severe thirst... like I water... I found myself out of control with desire for anything with meat. So I figured it was my bodies way of saying that I was lacking something in themeat that I was not getting elsewhere... but I ate fairly well at the time too... hmmm???
