Paper Turtle: Apart from the summary comments in my post 507 above re these verses...I'm thinking maybe there IS an attempt to get us to learn patience. I may very well be 'cross contaminating' this with comments you've made along the way. The source escapes me at the moment but I cited a Bible passage in this topic (or another?) something loosely along the lines 'we learn when we are ready'. My translation: the teacher tells us more when he thinks we're ready and have a need to know.
Kinda like a technique some use here. ABC.
In my previous life, I well knew the calculated risk in reading the conclusion first then the argument. The need to independently draw one's own conclusions, avoid bias etc. But there's a danger when the story doesn't get to a point or purpose before the MOMENT is lost. I'm told best advice is not to read the Bible cover to cover and I suspect that applies to each of its Books as well.
Tonight, I was walking home and stopped at a pedestrian crossing. The 'walk' sign appeared and for some unknown reason...a senior's moment?...I paused. A second later, a car went through the lights at very high speed. I'm reliably informed by Boanerges that 'what-ifs' don't exist. So, I don't give this a moment's thought not.
sidebar: HZC: There is a wall test to changing undies. The test is totally unrelated to the preceding text.
