Okay, let me try and answer that.
Maybe I should explain that I am British and living in Spain, and don't have a great deal of experience of the US.

My experience of "the West" is a post-christian society in the UK,the Roman Catholic-influenced materialism in Spain and the US films and TV series which are constantly arriving in both countries. None of these show any evidence of a religiously influenced generation still less a Biblically-influenced one!

I would be interested to hear from you after I spend more time in the Wisdom books to see how much American society is influenced by these ideas.

Please enlighten me on the extent that the US is biblically influenced. In the future I will speak of Europe and not "the West" - I realise that America is a whole different ball game (like "soccer" and "football"!!)
