In response to Is homosexuality a sin in Scripture? posted by LauriePK:

Is it possible to have the "live and let live" attitude, at the same time as you have the "I think homosexuality goes against my Christian beliefs" attitude?"
.
Good question.
.
One possibility of mixing secularist and religionist ideologies is that discussions on any issue are soon brought to conclusion. Nothing remains to be considered--God has spoken and that's that--period. Religionists walk away and no further consideratijon can be given in open forum.
.
Does that sound like sour grapes on the secularists part? Be that as it may be, it also is a demonstrable truth. And, with it, we're able to put our finger on the major threat religionism makes against any society where it is allowed to have official standing. And we are presently under notice that a large voting block in America is prepared to do battle in order to gain an official foothold in our legal system. Its members are committed to chip away at our secular defenses until they are able to establish their right to rule over the rest of us by law. Liberty demands our constant vigilance. Religionism IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN a notorious enemy of liberty.
