» EvilChihuahua - Hatred In response to Hatred posted by BrianTubbs:
Jesus had 2 Commandments: Love and Honour God, and Love and Respect mankind. There's also no doubt that there are many people today who hate others who are different - and that hatred extends into sexuality. Sadly that's true. We've done a lot to reduce hatred towards other races, but haven't done enough to reduce hatred towards people of other sexualities, religions, creeds and phychical and/or mental disabilities. I would like to suggest, however, that I think that the word "hate" is thrown around much too freely today. I don't agree that Homosexuality is a moral thing, but I don't hate homosexuals, and yet because of my views on homosexuality I've been accused of "hating" them. To me, hating someone is showing them no respect at all, no love and no honour. I can see past one's sexuallity to see the person for who they are. I have a lot of respect for homosexuals, so I can hardly be accused of hate. Sadly, there are some "Christians" out there who can't see past that, and treat non-Christians like they are lower forms of life. That is hatred. -- posted by EvilChihuahua
