Fact #1: Worship can be defined as the 'state of having worth or value' and comes from the Old English word "worthship"
Fact #2: When you worship someone or something, you devote your time and energy and use all the necessary resources to praise that object or person.

It is so easy to live a life clouded with negative thoughts. There is in fact a lot of negativity in the world around us. Despite this, you are able to decide whether you want to tune into these negative vibes or not! Living a life full of praise can assist you as a stepping stone to a lifestyle of worship. Praise is not influenced by how you feel but rather is an act of your will and goes hand in hand with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving and praise is initiated by each person and is the driving force of worship. Therefore, what this means is that you are aware of your blessings, naming them one by one, your attitude is one of thankfulness; even at times when you don't necessarily feel thankful you are able to live with an attitude of thankfulness and praise and are lead into a meaningful and deep fellowship of communication with God.
It is possible to worship God in any place and at any time of the day. Worship is more of the heart than of the tongue-so, while you are at work; there are times when you are able to just thank God or praise Him. This is called making moments God-centered.
There are also many words of praise that you can incorporate into your worship. Understanding what these words mean, gives you a better idea of why worship is so important and why it pleases God.
Note: In the Old Testament this word occurs 175 times to indicate God's faithfulness to his worshipers.
